"The Street People" excerpt, 4mb In the early 70s, Mal was doing a syndicated TV Show called The Street People. It was one of the first weekly shows shot in a documentary style with a hand held 16mm camera. Each week the show traveled to another U.S. Town. Leavenworth, Washington was a small community on the edge of the mountains near Spokane. To boost tourism, the town had voted to reinvent itself as a Bavarian Village. In this scene, Mal leads his crew into this Alpine wonderland. |
